Getting started
What does Tracked Money actually do?
It reads public disclosures — congressional periodic transaction reports, SEC Form 4s and 13Fs, federal contract awards — and tells you when someone you follow appears in one. Every signal links back to the original filing so you can check it yourself.
How do I sign in? I never set a password.
There is no password. Enter your email and we send a six-digit code that is valid for 15 minutes. That is the whole sign-in. If the code does not arrive, check your spam folder and confirm the address is spelled correctly.
Why is a filing dated weeks ago?
Because that is the law. A congressional periodic transaction report can be filed up to 45 days after the trade it describes. Tracked Money shows both dates — when the trade happened and when it was disclosed — and alerts you the moment the filing is published. Nobody has this information sooner; it does not exist publicly until the filing does.
Why are amounts shown as a range?
Filers disclose ranges, not exact figures — "$15,001–$50,000" is what the form itself says. We show the range that was filed rather than inventing a precise number.
Alerts
I am not getting notifications.
Check, in order:
- iOS Settings → Notifications → Tracked Money — permission must be allowed.
- Tracked Money → Settings → Filing alerts — confirm the filer is not muted.
- Quiet hours, if you set any, suppress alerts during that window.
- On the free tier, filing alerts are delivered in a single daily batch at 08:00 ET rather than instantly.
How do I stop alerts from one particular filer?
Open that filer and turn off tracking, or mute them individually in Settings → Filing alerts. Unfollowing stops their alerts immediately.
Subscriptions
How much does Tracked Money cost?
Tracked Money is free to use, and the free tier is deliberately generous: every filer, every filing, two followed portfolios, and one batched alert each morning at 08:00 ET.
Tracked Money Pro adds instant alerts the moment a filing lands, the reasoning behind each signal, and exit alerts. The current price is shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
Is there a free trial?
If a trial is available it is stated on the purchase screen, along with its length and what you are charged when it ends. If the purchase screen does not mention a trial, there is not one. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited if you subscribe before it ends.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by us, so they are cancelled in your Apple account:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions
- Tap Tracked Money, then Cancel Subscription
Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, or it renews. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are issued by Apple under their policy — we are not the merchant and cannot issue one ourselves. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something we did caused the problem, email us as well and we will support your request.
I paid but Tracked Money still shows the free tier.
Open the Pro screen and tap Restore purchases — that re-reads your entitlement from Apple and from our server. If it is still wrong, close and reopen the app. Still wrong after that, email us with the date of purchase and we will look it up.
Your account and data
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Delete account. It is immediate and permanent — your account, follows, watchlist, notification settings and push tokens are all removed, with no recovery.
Cancel your subscription first. Deleting your Tracked Money account does not cancel billing, because Apple controls that and we cannot cancel on your behalf.
You can also request deletion from the web.
Is my data secure?
All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Sign-in codes are stored hashed, never in plain text. There is no password to steal, the database is not reachable from the public internet, and Tracked Money never connects to a brokerage or sees a card number. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. Email [email protected] from the address on your account and we will send a portable copy within 30 days.
Can children use Tracked Money?
No. Tracked Money is intended for adults, is not directed at children, and requires you to be at least 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
The uncomfortable questions
Is this insider trading?
No. Every position Tracked Money shows comes from a disclosure that is already public and legally required — congressional periodic transaction reports, SEC Form 4s, quarterly 13Fs — or from publicly observable signals. We only make them readable.
Should I copy these trades?
That is entirely your decision, and Tracked Money takes no view on it. Tracked Money is not investment advice, we are not advisers, and the filings you see are weeks old by law. Read the source document, and consider talking to a licensed professional. See Terms, section 3.
Can Tracked Money place trades for me?
No, and it never will. Tracked Money is read-only by design: no brokerage login, no order routing, no custody of your money.
